Who we are

Beacon Studio is run by William Moore, a sole trader based in Oswestry, Shropshire, UK.

What data we collect

When you submit the contact form on this website, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The message you send

When you request a website preview on the free preview page, we collect your name, email address and phone number, and the details you give about your business: its name, what it does, where it works, its services, a link to its listing if you give one, and any colours or websites you like. To build the preview we also use information your business has already made public, such as its Google listing, its Facebook page or its Companies House record.

Formspree, the service that processes the forms (see below), also automatically logs the sending IP address and submission timestamp as part of handling the request. This website uses a privacy-first analytics tool that counts page views without cookies and without identifying you (see “Analytics” below); no other browsing data is collected.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

We collect your contact details to respond to your enquiry. Our legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interests - responding to a business enquiry you initiated.

For a preview request, our legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will take the preview down and delete your details.

Third-party processors

Your data is processed by the following third parties on our behalf:

• Formspree - handles contact form submissions. Data is transmitted to and stored on Formspree’s servers. Formspree’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) .
• Vercel - hosts this website and provides its analytics (see “Analytics” below). Vercel may log server-side request data including IP addresses. Vercel’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) .
• Netlify - hosts website previews. A preview is at an unlisted web address that search engines are asked not to list; it is not password protected. • Google Fonts - fonts are loaded from Google’s servers. This may expose your IP address to Google. Google’s Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) .

These are the only third parties this website uses to process personal data.

Analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It is designed to be privacy-friendly:

• It does not set any cookies and does not use browser storage.
• It does not create a persistent identifier for you, and does not track you across other websites.
• It records aggregate counts only - for example page views, referring site, country, and device type - not individuals.

Because no cookies or personal identifiers are used, no consent banner is required. Vercel processes this data on our behalf as a data processor. Vercel’s analytics privacy information (opens in a new tab) .

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry messages for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you request a preview and decide not to go ahead, or do not reply within 30 days, we take the preview down and delete the details used to build it, including your request in our email and in Formspree. If you become a client, correspondence relevant to that work may be kept for longer as part of normal business record-keeping.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies of its own. Its analytics (see above) work without cookies. The third-party services listed above (Formspree, Google Fonts) may set their own cookies as part of their normal operation - see their respective privacy policies for details.
